New Hires

New Hires

Arrow UK & Ireland is a big organisation and it can be difficult to keep track of who’s who. We like to introduce any new employees to the business here, to give you a real snippet of who the new folks are so they’re not just another name joining the company.

Welcome to Arrow!

Jess Turner

Marketing Manager – Virtualisation

I like a challenge and I like to learn, so Arrow is a good fit for me. Having never worked in IT before, and with a marketing background of medical book publishing and telecoms, I can safely say I’m on an exciting learning curve in a great team. Over the past few years, I’ve gained a huge amount of marketing experience and I am excited to bring this all to Arrow! Having already been here over a month, time has flown and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.

Loves… In my spare time you’ll find me with friends and family, rock climbing, running or hooked on my iPad spending money!

Abbey Sheasby

Purchasing Administrator

Before joining the Purchasing team at Arrow, I worked in the training industry as an Administrator. Although it is a similar role, this was an exciting opportunity to take as it was a different aspect of administration.

I joined Arrow in November so I am still fairly new, but I am really enjoying it here and I am excited to see what the future holds and the challenges ahead.

Loves… Socialising and holidays.

Joghbeth McAfee

Purchase Ledger Clerk

I moved to the UK in April with my husband and our two boys. I previously worked for a company in Virginia, USA in the Accounting Department, which was new to me as I had been in Purchasing for about 8 years. I loved it and decided to join Arrow Accounts Payable in July 2015. I can’t wait to learn more and expand my knowledge.

Loves… I love spending time with family/friends, music, socialising, travelling and shopping.

Daniel Widger

Netapp Business Development Manager

Before joining the Arrow NetApp team in October, I worked as a Business Development Manager for Softcat. Previously I have worked in retail sales, telesales, account management and as a Security & Networking Consultant, all of which have given me a very rounded view of what my customer requires of me in my new role.

Loves… In my spare time, I spend most of it in the gym. However, I also try to find time for my partner and 4 year old son Harrison. I also am a very keen Spurs fan!

My claim to fame – I’ve played a match at Stanford Bridge, and scored.

Elizabeth Morgan

Customer Service Agent

I joined Arrow’s Customer Service team just over a month ago. Prior to that I held various positions within the care industry after taking a big career change, I’d previously spent over a decade in the IT industry as a Production Analyst for First Data and Experian. I have been at Arrow for just over a month now and I am really enjoying it and I am looking forward to what my future will hold for me here at Arrow.

Loves… In my spare time I enjoy going out with friends, holidays and spending time with my family. My 5 year old son keeps me very busy!

Daniella Absolom

Quote and Configuration Specialist

Before joining Arrow in December, I was at Prospect Sixth Form completing my A levels. I decided during my last year at sixth form that I need a new challenge and luckily enough was offered an apprenticeship working with the Quote and Configuration team. I have been coaching gymnastics for 4 years at Kennyland Gymnastics club which I really enjoy. I have participated in gymnastics since I was 11 years old myself and have achieved many trophies and medals from competing in competitions. I really enjoyed competing and having a challenge.

Loves… During my spare time I enjoy going out with friends and socialising.

Donell Ngwenya

Renewals Sales Specialist

I am stationed in the Renewals Sales Team in Nottingham. Before coming to Arrow ECS, I spent several years in the sales and distribution industry at a company called Farnell Element 14 based in Leeds, where I gained valuable experience in ICT and Electronic Design Engineering.

I have recently moved from Leeds to Nottingham so I look forward to meeting new people and I look forward to my tenure here at Arrow

Loves… Watching football (Spurs Fan), playing pool and snooker, TV fanatic (anything detective) and going out socialising with friends.

Karen Cowley

Technical Account Manager

Last week I joined the Symantec and Veritas team based in Stockport, filling the Technical Account Manager role for the Veritas portfolio. In brief, throughout my career I have provided support and training on a variety of UNIX flavours for companies such as HP (formerly Compaq and Digital), Unilever, Fujitsu and Global Knowledge. Prior to the Symantec and Veritas merger, I worked in Veritas’ Wilmslow office as part of the Pre-Sales Consultancy team.

I am looking forward to putting my skills and experience to good use since the companies underwent a “conscious uncoupling”. I’ve joined a dedicated team who are helping me rapidly get up to speed so I can fully make my contributions as we enter the New Year.

Loves… Spending time with family and friends, live music, outdoor activities, cooking and “discovering” new venues for eating out.

Tracey Nichols

Customer Service Agent

Previously I’ve worked at Unite Student Accommodation as a Sales Negotiator and also four and a half years as a Customer Service Advisor for Motability Operations, both based in Bristol.

Loves… I’ve got two young boys aged 3 and 7 that keep me busy, so lots of trips to parks and swimming pools. We moved to Bury from Bristol in August for my husband’s job so I’m looking forward to Christmas in our new House.

Jack Andrews

Net-Sec External BDM

Originally from Swindon where I learnt my first trade as a carpenter, I still do odd jobs here and there if anyone needs any doors hanging :-) I’ve joined the Business Development team at Arrow having previously worked at Softcat in a similar role.

Loves…  In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, although extremely badly. I love my sport - rugby, golf, football - and play each one when I can. However, I’m best placed on a sofa with a beer as a spectator.
