IBM team has most successful quarter ever!

IBM definitely was on Santa’s Good list last year -  Q4 was our BEST QUARTER EVER!!! Not only did Arrow become IBM’s largest Power and Storage distributor in the UK and across EMEM in 2015, we also smashed all records across EMEA for the largest single order ever received by Arrow ECS.

The order value topped £29m and was placed by Logicalis for Unilever

Dimension Data DCS turnaround in 2015

I'd like to say a big thank you to Glenn Bridges and Ian Watkins for their efforts on the Dimension Data account in 2015.

Ian and Glenn worked very well together, running various meetings/QBRs where we used our Market Data Analytics to demonstrate our value and to highlight business they were leaving on the table.

The account was very much at threat to Avnet for our DCS business and yet we protected the account. As we moved into Q1 this year it has fully turned around and they are now very reliant on our value, market knowledge and enablement plans.

Their Q4 with us ended 42% up on the previous year, so it truly was a massive account save and turnaround, and a great result of collective input from Partner and Vendor sales working together.

Atlantis collaboration

We have had our first reported Sales (Approx £250k 4 appliances in total) on Atlantis Hyperscale on HP / Collaboration with Arrow OCS/HP OEM to deliver an out of the box hyper-converged appliance at a market leading price, available only via Arrow ECS.

This now complements the offering already available on Lenovo and we have an identical plan in place for a Dell platform, with pipeline building now across all platforms.

 


Proact signs 3 year contract

Proact, a long standing trading partner of Arrow, has entered into a new 3 year contract that ties in all legacy business but also on-boards new vendors such as Pure Storage, Simplivity, Nimble and Tintri.

The added bonus is that Proact are looking to build a security practice and any future NetSec related business will be automatically swept into the agreement. We’ve started to see key wins in Q4 such as £900k of Pure Storage and £600k of Simplivity, well done team SDDC who worked incredible hard to get all the deals across the line in Q4!

Raytheon|Websense is now ForcePoint

As of January 14th, 2016, Raytheon|Websense is now Forcepoint. At Arrow we now have a brand new ForcePoint team. Helen Stickney is now Business Manager for ForcePoint, whilst David Ryan is our Business Development Manager.

Skybox secures new investment

Skybox Security have secured $96 Million Investment from Providence Equity to Fuel Growth. The fast-growing security analytics company will use funds to further strengthen routes to market, expand hiring and accelerate technological innovation.
