Arrow ECS Vice President for UK & Ireland
Nick contributes thirty years’ experience in the IT sector. A first class degree in Computer Science from the University of Aston in Birmingham was the launch pad for Nick’s early career as a systems engineer before a move into sales. Fifteen years at Hewlett-Packard gave him a solid grounding as he undertook a variety of technical, sales and management roles. He subsequently honed his leadership skills in EMEA VP positions at NetApp for twelve years before joining Arrow ECS in April 2013.
Divisional Director and General Manager
Anthony has been in the IT industry for over 20 years, working at SPHINX CST and IBM distribution as InTechnology's Storage Client Manager in his early career. After joining InTechnology on secondment from IBM between 2002 and 2004 as IBM Sales Manager, Anthony has now officially been at Arrow ECS (formerly InTechnology) for over 10 years. His roles include IBM Sales Manager, Director of Account Managers and then moved onto Divisional Director for EMC, NetApp, Symantec plus other strategic vendors. In 2015, Anthony was been appointed General Manager for Ireland and continues to keep his Divisional Director responsibilities in the UK.
Paul has been with Arrow for over 15 years and developed the Ireland business, building it from the ground up to becoming Security and Networking market leaders in Ireland. Paul originally set up as Unipalm before being taken over by Computerlinks and then most recently by Arrow in October 2013. Since Arrow’s acquisition Paul, as Country Manager for Ireland, has embarked on the exciting opportunity to further develop the Ireland business with the expansion of Data Centre Solutions while maintaining and growing the successful Networking and Security business.
David was appointed by Arrow ECS as UKI Technical Director in January 2015. He is responsible for furthering Arrow’s technical presence in the channel, as well as the implementation of our technical strategies. He is also the creator of the London executive briefing centre and the UKI demo cloud as well as how happys london Arrows innovative approach to demonstrating the power of big data.
In his previous position as Global Head of Cloud Integration he played a key role in the development of Arrow’s global cloud strategy, including ArrowSphere, through the development of custom tooling designed to greatly simplify the cloud and channel experience for MSPs.
Services and Operations Director
Paul has been in distribution for the last 20 years, spending the first 15 years at Sphinx CST prior to its acquisition, and the last 5 years with Arrow. Over the years Paul (a qualified Chartered Accountant) has held a number of responsibilities ranging from and including, Finance Director, Operations Director, MD (CST) and latterly Services Director and dealt with most of the major vendors across Infrastructure, Virtualisation and Networking & Security. Currently Paul is responsible for the three services businesses, Support, Training and Consultancy, plus the various Operations Teams with the exception of warehousing and distribution.
Marketing Director – North West Europe
Julie’s 18 year service history at Arrow includes experience in corporate and channel marketing across all areas of Arrow’s business: Data Centre (storage, software, servers, virtualisation, data centre infrastructure management), Security & Networking, Services (Education, Support, ArrowSphere Cloud Services, Finance, Renewals, etc.), and most recently Mobility and Business Intelligence. Her skills and responsibilities include ensuring consistent Arrow brand and messaging aligned with our vendors, PR & communications, channel marketing, social media, digital marketing, creative, launching new vendors, acquisitions and re-brand projects. Julie, working with her team, has developed a comprehensive range of Marketing Services available for channel partners and manages the North West Europe marketing team consisting of 30 highly skilled marketers.
Electronics Engineering background. 20+ years in the IT industry. Previously a Sales Engineer with networking vendor 3com. Pre-Sales consultant with Computerlinks for 10+ years specialising in IT Security. Current role of Technical Manager for Arrow Ireland covering technical strategy and direction for the business and providing a link into the technical resources available at Arrow.
UK ArrowSphere and Cloud Leader
Scott is responsible for all matters Cloud at Arrow including a mix of the strategic and the tactical. Scott engages with channel partners to help them maximise their revenues from cloud services and with Arrow vendors to help them get their message across to the market. Scott also works with the wider Arrow business to keep colleagues up to speed on cloud, so that as many of our channel partners as possible are aware of its exciting potential. Scott’s career has given him a deep understanding of the demands of running a business in today’s highly competitive IT marketplace.
